Minto is an innovative finance platform that tokenizes its Bitcoin mining facilities through BTCMT tokens, where each token represents a unit of actively operating mining power. This unique approach allows users to passively earn Bitcoin rewards based on mining power by simply holding BTCMT tokens. The platform is designed to simplify the experience for crypto novices by making token acquisition and staking easy and efficient.

Minto aimed to streamline BTCMT token management and mining participation, reducing the complexities of cryptocurrency processes for users. The platform needed to enable wallet creation, token purchasing, and staking, with daily BTC rewards deposited directly to user wallets—all without requiring native cryptocurrency for transactions.

Challenges & Objectives

Minto set the following requirements for the platform:
  • User-friendly staking and token management: Provide a straightforward interface for purchasing and staking BTCMT tokens, allowing users to receive mining-based BTC rewards based on their staked tokens.
  • Fireblocks integration for wallet onboarding: Enable seamless wallet creation and access using email or Google Auth, making onboarding easy, particularly for non-crypto users.
  • Gas-free transactions: Allow users to send and receive BTCMT tokens without paying gas fees, eliminating barriers often associated with transaction fees.
  • Enhanced security and compliance: Integrate KYC checks and security features to ensure a secure and compliant environment for all users.
